Highway 6 RV Resort
June 11th: Well, we got to Houston. Not a bad drive but the air in our RV is not coming out cold enough to beat this Texas heat. It’s something else to add to our list of things to look at and fix after our trip. Tomorrow and next few days is visiting with family so will not post until Tuesday.
June 12,13,14: My family is not what you would have called typical back in the day, but I think more people would today. I have my dad’s side (my sisters Alina, and Mary, and my brother Ed) who all live on Long Island, and I have my mom’s side (my brother Jose, and my sister Dennisse) who live in Houston.
The last three days were all about seeing the Houston clan for the first time since Lauren’s wedding, and it was great, even though it was hot as heck!
We did a gaming day with traditional Chinese dinner, a day at the pool here at the RV site, and a day at the beach in Galveston. We ended the beach day with a ride past our first house we owned together here in First Colony. Great memories in that house, as both our girls were born here in Houston and this was our first home as a family.
Now tomorrow we leave for Shreveport LA, for an overnight stop then on to Hot Springs.
Game night at my brothers Jose, as you can see, he has a few games, lol. With us is an old and dear friend of ours, Dave.
Hanging by the pool at the RV park. Ally, Charlotte, DD, and Roland(In the pool). Jose and my mom sitting with me, and of course Jan and I.
Beach day at Galveston Texas. Jan and I, and the cutie is Charlotte, our niece.
Well, time to pack up and start our way back to Michigan. Will write more tomorrow from Shreveport.
We live in a big country lol. Tonight we are spending one night at the Shreveport / Bossier KOA. We wanted to break up what was going to be a 10 hour driving day, so we pulled into a nice long pull through spot, hooked up electric and water, and just sat back and chilled. 5 hours driving today.
We don’t even have to disconnect Jeep Jeep. Tomorrow we will drive 4 hours to Hot Springs Arkansas where we will explore until Saturday.
Bucket quest and her little brother Jeep Jeep, all parked for the night. Umm, we hit a few bugs lol. And that gator look's like trouble!
